Weddings

Bagpipers are great for weddings. Traditonally used to mark the various stages of the big day, they add considerable pomp and ceremony to proceedings, visually and audibly. Your guests will be most impressed - please take a look at some of the photos in our Wedding Gallery. You can also hear samples of the most popular wedding tunes.

The standard options for a wedding piper are:-

Ceremony - Attendance time: 1-2 hours

To pipe at the ceremony as required. This would typically include:-

• Pipe guests on arrival
• Pipe Bride & Groom from the service
• Pipe guests during the photographs
• (Pose in some photos if required)

You could also encorporate some or all of the following:-

• Pipe Groom and Best Man into position
• Pipe Bride down the aisle
• Pipe during the signing of the register
• Pipe Bride & Groom back up the aisle
• Pipe Bridal Car as it leaves the ceremony

We would recommend using a selection of the above to avoid overkill. You may also have other musical entertainment marking various stages of the ceremony - a church organist or harpist for example.

Reception - Attendance time: 1-2 hours

• Pipe guests on arrival
• Pipe the line up
• Pipe Bride and Groom to top table of the Wedding Breakfast
• Pipe an exit

Depending on your schedule it could also include other duties, such as piping during the cutting of the cake.

Ceremony & Reception - Attendance time: 2-4 hours

Elements of both the above.

Note: The standard Ceremony & Reception service is designed for 1 venue weddings (eg. hotel or golf club) - or venues in close proximity. It is also based on the assumption that the Reception occurs relatively soon after the Ceremony.

Other Wedding Enquiries

Pipers UK wide offer the above standard services, but are also experienced at other big day requests, such as:-

• Pipe a wake up call - eg. from the grounds of the hotel
• Pipe Bridal Car and guests from hotel/house to ceremony
• Pipe at the evening reception - eg. a party set.
