Piper Tom Stewart has also gained lots experience in pipe bands, and can supply a band if required. He was a part of the Grade 2 band Wallacestone & District Pipe Band in the late 80's/early 90's. In 1989 they were Scottish, British, and Cowal Champions and came 6th in the World Championships. In the following year they were again Scottish, British and Cowal Champions and just missed out on being crowned World Champions by finishing 2nd. In the same year - 1990 - they were awarded the title Champion of Champions in Grade 2. The following year Tom played in Grade 1 with the band.

Between 1998 - 1999, Tom taught the bagpipes in North Carolina, USA. Since then, he has predominantly worked as a solo piper - performing at weddings, funerals, special occasions and corporate functions. He also plays regularly at ceilidhs.
